CA Spring Break 2012

This will probably be a redundant post leading up to most CA visits - lots of anticipation, lots of angst, and lots of screaming and yelling.  I need to find a destination where we don't pack;  we buy what we need when we get there and we don't care to bring it home.  At least this trip wasn't an entire year wait, but we'll miss our traditional 4th of July trip this year.  As usual so much more I was going to write, but now it's a month later....I'll go heavy on the captions below.  Many thanks to everyone for their hospitality, their company and the good memories.  We need more of the memories!   And thanks to Aunt Sheila who stayed with G-ma while we were gone - endured the dog, the snow and a trip to the hospital - we at least had peace of mind everything was under control!
TRYING hard to get along right before the trip, that may have lasted 10 minutes.
D and "his" dog
Day 1 with G-Ma Sue.
At Uncle Cam and Aunt Tiffy's new pool.

Looking good.
Twins
Dinner at Zubies
Lunch at Taco Surf with Papa Jim and Gma Lawna
The cousins had their pictures taken together - these are far from the professional ones, but some of my outtakes.    Dexter was good for the first couple, then we lost him...then went Zoe
And he's out..
With cousin Sean and Cohl.  Dexter Loved the trampoline.
Family Bar-b-q.  We're always so happy to see everyone, thanks to our hosts Cam and Tiffany and all the great food Brady's and Munholland's
Disneyland!  Yes, we had to go.  Dexter was overwhelmed.  I forgot how the kids don't really get when you wait in line for an hour, and then the ride is two minutes.  Dexter was so happy going on, and not so happy getting off.
Dexter, Zoe and I went back to the hotel early, while Kellan had his first Coke to pull an all nighter.
The new Disneyland Hotel pool.  I kind of miss the old one.
We didn't make it to an Angel game, but made it to the team store.
Kellan had to get a Pujols shirt, then recently said "I should have gotten a Torii Hunter shirt"
Dexter didn't want to leave.
Legoland with the Weavers.   My baby on his first "roller coaster".
Downtown San Diego.  The night before opening day of the season.  Our awesome view from our hotel room, courtesy of the Weavers.  The kids were as excited about the room view as being in the stadium itself.
Our 200 ft walk to the stadium
With TK and Devin
Maybe 4 innings in - and Done.
And he Knew Jim was holding him, he may have been too scared to say anything though...
Our one and only day at the beach.  I think I finally convinced everyone over the years to want to go - now it's never enough.
Anti-water, pro-sand
Our last time seeing the Weavers :(

3 hours later and many, many children in the air
Aunt Tiffany the Master of fun
My absolute favorite picture of the whole trip
My next favorite picture
SUSHI dinner on Sue, no one appreciates sushi like we do after being in CO for 5 years.  AND birthday cupcakes with "my" kids!
Easter Sunday at Papa Jim's and G'ma Lawna's.  TONS of eggs.  It's evident as the children get older their priorities, Phoebe and Kellan hunted for the eggs with the money - a lot of shaking the eggs and putting them back down.
With Auntie Monica
Post Easter brunch feast and hunt
THE END until next time.  P.S. Kellan still hasn't cut his hair - 7 months and counting (I think)
